EigenWallet is a privacy-first desktop wallet with built-in atomic swaps. No accounts, no custody, no compromises.

Bitcoin
MoneroEigenWallet brings Bitcoin and Monero into a single, elegant interface — engineered for users who refuse to trade privacy for convenience.
Built around atomic swaps, local-only key storage, and a transparent open-source codebase, every design decision answers to one principle: your keys, your coins, your sovereignty.
Six essentials, refined into a single calm interface.
AES-256 encryption and secure enclave storage keep your keys and recovery phrase protected at all times.
Track, send, and receive Bitcoin, Monero, and other assets from a single unified dashboard.
No personal data required. EigenWallet is designed to preserve your financial privacy by default.
Exchange assets instantly inside the app at competitive rates without leaving your wallet.
Connect Ledger or Trezor devices to keep private keys offline and add an extra layer of security.
Unlock and authorize transactions with Face ID, Touch ID, or your device's secure biometric.
Your keys, your coins, your control. EigenWallet is engineered so that sensitive data never leaves your device — and every operation is reviewed, verified and signed locally.
Private keys and recovery phrases are encrypted on your device using AES-256. We never store, transmit, or have access to them.
EigenWallet has no cloud key vault. Keys are generated locally and remain under your control, eliminating single points of failure.
No KYC, no identity tracking, no behavioral analytics. Only the minimum connection data required to broadcast transactions.
Core components are open for review and regularly audited by independent security researchers, so vulnerabilities are found and fixed quickly.
Every transaction is verified locally before signing. You review the exact address and amount on your device before anything is broadcast.
Your recovery phrase is the only backup you need. EigenWallet guides you through secure offline backup practices so you can restore anytime.

Straight answers about privacy, swaps, security, and getting started with EigenWallet.
EigenWallet is a self-custodial desktop wallet for Bitcoin and Monero, with a built-in peer-to-peer exchange. Unlike centralized exchanges, there are no accounts, no custodial risk, and no possibility of frozen funds. Every swap is an atomic swap — meaning either both sides complete successfully, or nothing happens and funds return to their original owners. You stay in control of your keys at all times.
No. EigenWallet requires absolutely no registration, email, or identity verification. You download the app, create or restore a wallet, and start swapping immediately. This is possible because all trades happen directly between peers using atomic swap contracts, not through a company holding user funds.
Atomic swaps use hash-time-locked contracts (HTLCs) to exchange cryptocurrencies between two parties without a trusted intermediary. The protocol guarantees that either the swap completes for both sides simultaneously, or the entire transaction is cancelled and each party keeps their original funds. This removes counterparty risk entirely — you never have to trust the other trader or EigenWallet itself.
EigenWallet natively supports Bitcoin (BTC) and Monero (XMR). The primary use case is swapping between these two assets. Bitcoin is used as the sending side and Monero as the receiving side in most swaps, though the protocol is flexible and additional asset support is evaluated based on demand and technical compatibility with atomic swap contracts.
All network traffic routes through Tor by default, hiding your IP address and location. Monero transactions themselves are inherently private through ring signatures, stealth addresses, and confidential transactions. No personal data is ever collected, stored, or shared. There is no KYC, no analytics, and no linking of wallet activity to your identity.
Yes. EigenWallet (formerly known as UnstoppableSwap) is fully open-source and has been actively maintained for over three years. The core swap logic and wallet code are publicly auditable. The protocol has been battle-tested in production across thousands of swaps, and the community continuously reviews the codebase for security improvements.
During wallet creation, EigenWallet generates a unique 12 or 24-word recovery phrase (also called a seed phrase). This is the only way to restore your wallet and access your funds if your device is lost or damaged. Write it down on paper, store it in a secure offline location, and never share it with anyone. EigenWallet never stores or has access to your recovery phrase.
Your funds are always safe. Because atomic swaps use time-locked contracts, a failed or interrupted swap simply triggers a refund path after the locktime expires. You will never lose cryptocurrency due to a failed swap, network issue, or unresponsive counterparty. The interface clearly shows swap status at every stage so you always know what is happening.
Users in the European Union can purchase Monero with EUR via SEPA bank transfer through an integrated on-ramp within EigenWallet. This is optional and available only in supported EU countries. The on-ramp partner handles fiat conversion, while the resulting Monero is deposited directly into your self-custodial wallet.
Advanced users can run an Automated Swap Backend (ASB) to become a maker. Makers provide liquidity by holding both Bitcoin and Monero, and earn fees on every swap they facilitate. The ASB runs continuously in the background, automatically accepting swap requests from takers at configurable rates. Documentation for setting up and configuring an ASB is available in the official docs.
